The Amusement and Music Owners Association of New York, Inc. (AMOA-NY) is proud to announce that Scott Avery has been named the “Guest of Honor/Man of the Year.”

Scott Avery is the President and COO of Apple Industries, Inc., a premier photobooth company, based in Greenvale, New York. He joined Apple Industries in 2011 as Director of Operations and was promoted to President in 2021. Before his tenure at Apple, Avery held key operational management roles at the United States CIA and Raytheon. He holds an MBA from Northeastern University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Supply Chain Management and Marketing from the University of Maryland.

“Scott has forged strong partnerships with leading brands in entertainment, retail, and technology, including Disney, Major League Baseball, Regal Cinemas, and, most recently, Hasbro,” said Ken Goldberg, President of AMOA-NY and executive at Bar Partners, in a recent press release. “His ability to drive innovation and expand Apple’s market presence makes him a truly deserving honoree.”

Apple Industries Chairman and CEO, Allen Weisberg, praised Avery’s leadership in a recent press release, stating: “Scott’s leadership has been instrumental in guiding Apple to unprecedented heights. Under his stewardship, the company has continued to innovate and expand its product line which features FacePlace Photo Booths and related products. He has helped to solidify Apple Industries’ position as a global leader in the amusement industry. His strategic vision, coupled with a focus on culture and sustainable growth, has positioned Apple as a company that not only delivers cutting-edge, profitable products to operators but also delivers memorable experiences to millions of consumers each year.”

Avery resides in Smithtown, New York, with his wife, Vanessa, and their two children. He is a past board member of the American Amusement Machine Association Charitable Foundation and previously served on the fundraising committee for Sunrise Day Camps (Long Island). In 2022, he was recognized with a Merit Award from Walt Disney Parks & Resorts.

The AMOA-NY Annual Gala is Monday, April 28th at 101 Park Avenue in Midtown Manhattan and will also honor a “Jukebox Artist of the Year.”

The 2024 Guest of Honor was Bob Dipipi, Vice President of Sales & Purchasing at Betson Enterprises (Carlstadt, NJ), while the 2024 Jukebox Artist of the Year was the legendary jazz-fusion group Spyro Gyra, celebrating their 50th anniversary tour.
