Ion Charging Announces Official Launch of Phone Battery Rental Kiosks with Credit Card Readers
Ion Charging has officially launched its revolutionary new line of powerbank rental kiosks, which come equipped with credit card readers and touch screens making powerbank rental seamless.
The shared charging market is growing rapidly with mass overseas adoption. As people become more dependent on their phones, staying connected has become a major logistical issues. Phone charging rental kiosks have begun to solve this issue by enabling users to rent a mobile charger at various retail locations, and return them once they are done.
However, until now every major shared charging network in the U.S. has required that users download an app and scan a QR code in order to rent a portable charger.
Berk Gedikoglu from Ion Charging tells us “When we started Ion, we knew that to truly capture the U.S. market we had to develop a solution that enables in person payments. Studies show that 77.9% of Americans will refuse to complete a transaction if it requires them to download an app to complete payment. We knew this was even more crucial for charging kiosks: if you are using our kiosk because your phone is dead, how can we expect you to download an app?”
Ion’s charging kiosks enable users to rent a portable charger and return it anywhere in their network once they are done. Their portable chargers come with USB-C, Micro-USB, and Lightning cables and are compatible with all major smartphones and tablets.
