Most recently, Ahmed served as the CFO of Hungryroot, where she built the company’s core financial functions while also leading the IT and legal departments. During her tenure, she played a pivotal role in the company’s rapid expansion, overseeing a near threefold increase in revenue and leading the organization to profitability. Prior to Hungryroot, Ahmed was the first CFO of Barstool Sports, guiding the company through a period of explosive growth and a high-value exit. She has also held senior finance roles at VICE and Time Inc., where she consistently demonstrated her ability to act as a strategic business partner with a solution-oriented mindset.

“We are thrilled to have Wajeeha join the Bevi leadership team,” said Cathy Lewenberg, CEO of Bevi, in a recent press release. “She brings the perfect mix of strategic financial leadership and hands-on experience scaling high-growth businesses. As we continue to expand and innovate, I know she’ll be a key driver in shaping Bevi’s next chapter.”

Beyond her professional achievements, Ahmed is a passionate advocate for girls in sports. Inspired by her two children, she serves on the board of a nonprofit girls’ soccer club, working to ensure every girl has the opportunity to play and thrive in athletics.

“I’m excited to join Bevi at such a pivotal time,” said Ahmed. “Bevi’s mission to create sustainable, tech-enabled hydration solutions aligns perfectly with my passion for high-impact, purpose-driven companies. I look forward to working with the team to drive continued growth and success.”

Since Bevi’s founding in 2013, the company has scaled from a startup to a Series D, with more than 6,000 customers across North America, the United Kingdom, and Ireland. Over the past decade, the company branched out into new verticals, expanded its product offerings, and significantly increased its employee headcount, creating a strong foundation for future growth. As a seasoned leader with demonstrated success in growing fast-paced companies and delivering results, Ahmed is the ideal finance leader to help Bevi navigate its next phase of growth.
