Nespresso is expanding its offerings with the launch of its first-ever, ready-to-drink canned coffee: The Nespresso Master Origins Colombia Ready to Drink Coffee. This new product, launched just in time for National Coffee Day, marks the brand’s debut into the grab-and-go coffee market and is an addition to Nespresso’s honey range, which was introduced in August.

The ready-to-drink coffee is sweetened with Nespresso’s exclusive Coffee Blossom Honey, which is harvested from the same plants that produce some of the brand’s coffee beans. This unique ingredient highlights Nespresso’s commitment to creating a sustainable and closed-loop production system.

“As on-the-go coffee demand continues to grow in the U.S., we saw the opportunity to reimagine how Nespresso can elevate coffee moments for today’s consumer,” Alfonso Gonzalez Loeschen, the CEO of Nespresso North America, shared in a statement provided to Food & Wine. The ready-to-drink Nespresso can “sits at the intersection of functionality and sustainability,” he said, “as a byproduct of our commitment to regenerative agriculture efforts to protect the future of coffee.”

The honey used in this beverage is a result of Nestlé’s R+D Accelerator — Nestlé’s hub for research and innovation — in Lausanne, Switzerland, which supports Nespresso’s focus on advancing sustainable farming practices. The company’s regenerative agriculture efforts are designed to address the challenges posed by climate change, which threatens biodiversity and the livelihoods of coffee farmers worldwide.

Nespresso has committed to reducing its greenhouse gas emissions by 50% by 2030 and achieving net zero emissions by 2050. As part of this sustainability focus, the new coffee is packaged in aluminum cans, which can be recycled forever.

The Nespresso Master Origins Colombia Ready to Drink Coffee will be available for a limited time, starting on October 2nd through the Nespresso mobile app, Nespresso.com, and select Nespresso Boutiques. Availability is limited; customers are encouraged to secure their purchases while supplies last.
